It all began on May 12, 2003 when Steve was looking through profiles on JDate and came across an adorable bumble bee. He began to read her profile and something stood out…she said she was a sweetheart! So, he figured why not find out for himself. Steve sent an email and awaited a response.

That night Andi received the email. She read Steve’s profile and was intrigued by his pictures and his likes/dislikes, etc… However, there was a slight problem, Andi was unable to write back to Steve because JDate had changed their email policy for non-paying members. Since this was the case, she was hopeful that Steve would use another method of JDate communication. Well, the very next night Andi was sitting in front of her computer looking through JDate profiles when an instant message appeared…it was from Steve! They began sending instant messages through JDate, and then proceeded to im’ing on AOL Instant Messenger since it was easier and a lot quicker. They im’d for a while and by the end of the conversation they had discussed talking on the phone. Andi felt extremely comfortable and gave Steve her phone number when he asked.

For the next two nights, they talked on the phone for hours and both realized they had a ton of things in common, from computers to movies! Steve then asked Andi if she wanted to get together and get a bite to eat or a cup of coffee that weekend. However, Andi had a BBYO convention to attend that weekend so they agreed to talk on Sunday when she returned and make plans for sometime the following week.

Well, Sunday May 18th came and Steve just couldn’t wait any longer, he gave Andi a call and asked her to meet him for dinner at TGI Fridays. She accepted and they agreed to meet there at 6:15pm. Steve arrived first and awaited Andi’s arrival. From the moment they saw each other face to face, they both knew there was a special connection that would last forever!
