We arrived in Barcelona on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 after being
delayed at Baltimore-Washington International airport due
to weather conditions for over a hour and then running through
the Heathrow (London) airport to catch our connecting flight.
We experienced the hospitality at the Nisia Bed and Breakfast for our first 3 nights which was nice but due to a double booking (a mistake by the B&B owner) we spent our last night at a Hostel paid for my the B&B owner. The hostel was definetly an experience we will never forget!
We traveled around Barcelona via the subway system thanks
to Steve and saw various attractions including Parc Guell,
La Sagrada Familia, 1992 Olympic Stadium, Joan Miro Museum,
La Pedrera, Picasso Museum, Placa de Catalunya, Las Ramblas,
Parc de la Ciutadella, Arc de Triomf, Poble Espanyol, Magic
Fountain, the lively streets of Barri Gothic and the oldest
synagogue in Europe (according to Barcelona).
