On Sunday, June 12, 2005 (Day 2), we arrived in Marseille, France. The excursion we chose was Aix en Provence On Your Own.
Aix en Provence is a town famous for its music and literature
and is the birthplace of the famous impressionist, Paul
Cezzane. We got dropped off in front of Rotunde Square and
walked through Vieil Aix, a labyrinth of narrow streets
which lead to the 17th-century Town Hall, the Archbishop's
Palace and Saint Sauveur Cathedral. We didn't get to go
into any shops as they are closed on Sunday.
